Mar 6 2010 - Last night Lyrics & Melodies put on wonderful evening of female fun and empowerment! Alas, I didn't have my camera but I still wanted to tell you about the goings-on. Myself and some girlfriends decided to leave our men and children behind and venture off into not-so-well-territory called Ladies Night. It was held at Clover's, a Jamaican restaurant. Some of us worked the room and made sure to give out our business cards but mainly we sat and allowed ourselves to be entertained by the ladies and served by the men (*sigh* They served us strawberries and whipped cream to start off the night right = mmm). There was music by Miss Giel, poetry by Ashayla, a song by Destiny, cabaret by Kerri-Ann and company, presentations by Miss D (fitness buff), Jackie Vernon, (Keyes Realtor) and Cynthia Lopez (Mary Kay Rep), and a fashion show put on my My Couzin's Closet. Of course, Dah Music Linx was represented as well. I look forward to what the next event has to offer.

 

Feb 21 2010 - It is always fun spending a day at the races! That Sunday saw us streaming and taking pictures at the Palm Beach International Speedway in West Palm Beach, FL, for John Brown's National Sport Compact Association drag races, in association with Collin Williams, owner and producer for Studio 1080. Karl was responsible for streaming the races live while I wandered the grounds looking for "the perfect shot." lol Here are a couple of shots we took:

Feb 12-14 2010 - Surprisingly, we ended up in Orlando at a religious leadership convention, put on by the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. We decided to split up and take the Communications and Technology tracks which proved to be extremely beneficial. One of the practical skills we learned was how to stream live online and what tools we could use. We immediately put the information to good use streaming the NSCRA drag races the following weekend and getting our church setup to stream their Saturday services live. We are very excited about the possibilities. Thoughts of streaming weddings, funerals, birthday parties, photo shoots, and more, are floating through our heads. Stay tuned. Here we are after accepting an award for the work we have been doing to keep our church on the technological edge and for the leadership we have provided to our Communication & Technology team. Eld. Robert Henley, Jr., Communication, Technology, and Interactive Ministries Director for the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists made the presentation.

Last Saturday night, Ambassador Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a Haiti Relief benefit concert, mainly featuring the gospel group Supremacy. Kaspinn was proud to have been a part by doing a photo fundraiser, giving attendees yet another way to give. Thank you to all those who were able to give!
